Hi all,
I have done a fair amount of AppleScripting, but now find myself faced with
a project that I am not certain how best to proceed on.
The starting point is a QXP file.
The goal is to have the following occur:
The user drops the file on a droplet and:
1) an eps file is created (as memory serves this can be done straight from
QXP - they are using 4.1)
2) The file is opened, the type is converted to outlines and the file is
saved. They are using Illustrator 9.0.
3) A tiff file is created (the have Photoshop 6.0)
4) They need to create a .WMF file. I am told that this can be done using
MacLink, which last time I looked had good AppleScript functionality. I am
not certain what a .WMF file is so I am not certain what the starting format
should be for this step.
They are running Mac OS 9.1 or 9.2.1.
I have used PreFab Player in situations like this where there are
applications that do not support AppleScript. That said, there may be a
better way that others have come across.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated on any or all of the pieces
of the project.
All the best,
Tony White
