Not to mention Facespan: <http://www.facespan.html>
But these solutions won't run on OS X.

For OS X look into AppleScriptStudio:
http://www.apple.com/applescript/macosx/ascript_studio/
which is a little more involved.

(Facespan for OS X should be available sometime this year)
