AS & Basics

I was hesitant to cite specific complaints about the current state of AS in
OS X for fear that any discussion would bog down over suggestions on how to
deal with those complaints.

My point is simply this: AS does not seem to getting sufficient priority
when it comes to basic features. When one tries to use AS in the X
enviroment one is forced to use slower methods, workarounds or 3rd party
options to accomplish what is readily done in OS 9.

Given this situation, it is my belief that Apple has crippled what would
otherwise be a wonderful selling point.

For the record, I am familar with & use DragThing, Typist, Youpi, Quickeys
and even a few others. What I want to use is Applescript.
