how i can select text from Acrobat

i want to select some texts from pages in Acrobat documents
and i use Acrobat dictionary to know commands
but some commands not working well
like this
tell app "Acrobat"
set mytext to text from 1 to 40 of page 1
end
i you send to me a PDF file of guide scripting in Acrobat
