List Folder and OS X Finder Concerns

  • Subject: List Folder and OS X Finder Concerns

Hello,

I am is the process of moving some scripts that work with the Finder over to
OS X.

I use List folder in conjunction with the Finder to get a list of everything
that is not invisible.

The problem is that when a List Folder command is issued the resulting list
contains the file names with their extensions. The list from the finder
doesn't contain the extensions.

So when comparing lists against each other I don9t get the right matches.

How do I get around this or is there a finder whose I can put in to avoid
invisibles.

Thanks,

Jason Bourque
