I don't know if this is any use, but on one occasion when I needed to pick
some numbers at random from a given range, I made a set of small, round clay
tablets, each bearing a different number. I put these in a large earthenware
pot and took them to a wooded area up on Caerphilly Mountain where, after
making careful preparations to ensure an atmosphere of Zen like calm, I drew
the required number of clay tablets out of the pot. (And I have the video
footage to prove it.)
This may not be faster than using an OSAX, though.
