Alternatives include:
1. boot from a boot disk, cd, external hard drive and then remove them while
they are not the active 'fonts' (quitting all applications should permit you
to remove them without booting from an external source). Once in the trash
can, reboot and then hold down the option key while selecting 'empty trash'.

2. Using Norton's Delete, manually erase the files, then reboot immediately
and run Norton Disk Doctor.
