What' y'all seemed to miss in my first e-mail is that I have a LAN in my home. This is a LAN just for file transfer and things like that. We don't even use it for connecting to the internet. We have a dial-up modem for that. The AppleTalk LAN is used for transferring files. Example: I copy a file onto a 7200 that has a floppy drive, except that I want the file on my iMac downstairs. So I go to the Chooser, select "AppleShare", click the correct computer, log on as a guest or whatever, get the AppleShare folder, and just drag and drop. That's it. It's not used for anything else, so the proposition that a TCP/IP network is better for doing the exact same thing just seems stupid. So, to go back to my original question, what would be involved to execute a script on a third-party computer on this network?

Dave
