Interesting caveat on previous iTunes/SSH problems

Just in case anyone else is interested in this issue...

As I mentioned before, when running a script from a terminal window opened on the mac's physical screen, iTunes scripts work fine. When running the same script, using the same method over an SSH connection, I get the -2709 error (event dictionary could not be opened).

An interesting workaround that I've found is to open the terminal window, and execute the program 'screen' to create a persistant terminal instance. If I then log in remotely via SSH and reattach the 'screen' session to the SSH session, I can use that shell (and any other shells created in the same 'screen' instance) to manipulate iTunes scripts freely.

This is acceptable for me, but I am still quite curious about the dictionary issues.

Russ
