Hi all. Is there a way to tell a script where to find an
application's dictionary? I am having the "Can't get the
application's event dictionary" error. This occurs even though the
application is running, and the script editor can load the
dictionary with no problem. It only occurs when run via 'osascript'
from a terminal window.
Are you trying to do this remotely, or via a console Terminal window?
AFAIK, remote shells do not allow you to interact with the local
console.
I think you can work around it by compiling the script as an app and
using "open -a <path/to/app>"
