Hi all. Is there a way to tell a script where to find an application's dictionary? I am having the "Can't get the application's event dictionary" error. This occurs even though the application is running, and the script editor can load the dictionary with no problem. It only occurs when run via 'osascript' from a terminal window.
I understand the basic concept of the dictionary from the script editor application's view, but I have no clue how it works from the point of view of a running script (via osascript, for example). Is there something I can set in the environment to help it along, or something that I can configure directly from a running script? I don't care if it is something that would be non-portable or would break if run on a different system.
Where can I find lower level details intended for a primarily technical (ie developer) audience?
Thanks much,
Russ
