Klaus,

This may sound counter-intuitive, but have you tried duplicating the
QuickTime Player (give the second copy a different name, like QT_Player_2)
and the addressing each copy of the application to open just one movie? I do
something like this for slideshows of graphics using GraphicConverter (which
happily chugs along on the second screen in the background while the other
copy chugs on the main screen). Just a thought -- may be worth a try.
