Making a script to back up a file in OSX

  • Subject: Making a script to back up a file in OSX

I have not had very much time to work on this but my boss wants to have a
simple way to back up one file to another drive without having to find it
and drag it over every time. I can script it easily in OS9 but OSX is
beating me terribly, so I am asking for your help. The script needs to be
able to overwrite the last known backup without any dialogs (I am making
this shut down the computer after the backup).

Thanks in advance!

Aloha,
