Running a script with Jon's commands

  • Subject: Running a script with Jon's commands

A few days ago I posted a message asking for help concerning a script that could be run on a folder to remove spaces and the word "copy" from document names. I have about 8,000 doc names to modify in this way.

One of the group members was so kind in providing me a script to accomplish this, but I am such a novice to scripting that I cannot get it to run.

He also provided a copy of Jon's Commands.

I need help with the following questions:

What are the proper installation steps?
How does Jon's commands interface with the script?
How do I aim the script at the target folder?
How do I run the script?

That's about it. Thanks in advance. I appreciate any help you can give me.
