Yes you're right. I didn't take enough time to think about it and.
I forgot the cardinal rule of etymology---Don't do it on the fly!
But in my defense I did say that it was a false analogy---I just
didn't take into account just how false :-).
And it does lend some support for my main point: that we shouldn't
pontificate about the grammar people use on the list.
