And people who cant afford SD also have Smile, an excellent editor,
continually being developed, for free. There's absolutely no need to waste
scat resources in Script Editor that should (and is) spent developing and
fixing the language. I'm now spoiled by SD, the best script editor
imaginable (except that Mark keeps imagining it better), but I used Smile
for years and it, too, keeps getting better. Script Editor is just an
introduction for novices and a check on consistency of other editors. Anyone
serious about AppleScript who feels limited by Script Editor and is
disinclined or can't afford Script Debugger should switch to Smile
immediately. You'll find Emmanuel is very suggestive and responsive to
request for new features and improvements.
