At least you could use InDesign, which extensively supports all of the Japanese typography and is eminently scriptable. ;)

I'd like to see their input method. I've seen every input method since System 6 and they all suck compared with the method Ed Lai wrote for 6, which I still use in 9.2.2. With this method and a little practice you can type Chinese several times faster than any English stenographer.
