if your version of AppleScript is strictly between 1.6 and 1.8.3.
Can you elaborate on this? What's wrong with versions 1.6 through 1.8.3 and what exactly do you mean by "bogus"? It's very possible that it is one of these versions, but I can't check until tomorrow. Everything else about AppleScript seems to work correctly though.
