This is a side question...
Every time I reply to a message from the AppleScript-Users list or
AppleScript-Studio list, I must copy and paste the list address into
the To: field, replacing the author's address. This isn't how I
expect a mailing list to work. How do you folk (who use Mail) go
about this unnecessary step? Thanks for any help.
Please reply off-list.

Hi Ted: everyone asks this question. This list is set up this way for
some reason, so that many list members interested in expert answers
to questions often miss out on them. I too would prefer that the
answers were posted directly to the list rather than to the
questioner only.
To get an answer to the list as well as to the questioner, you have
to "Reply to All". To do this in Eudora hold down the Option key when
pressing the Reply key. The questioner will get two answer emails
unless you remember to delete his/her name, but at least the answer
has gone to the list.
If you receive a digest you will reply directly to the list, as it is
difficult even for Apple to get you to reply to the individual
questioners within digests.
