Michelle,

No, no special OSAX to turn the date into real, its working OK in version 1.4.3, 1.5.5 & 1.1.4, I haven't tested any other.

I have 4 different Macs and they all have different creation dates one of which is the dreaded 4th April 1995. It got me wondering though, I recently reformatted a disk on a 1 year old G4 (currently shows creation date of 14 December 2001)- could reformatting reset the date? Admittedly I'm not so excited about my routine now but I guess it still gives a certain amount of security.

Do you have an OSAX that changes a date to a real? I get an error on
this line.
