looking for testers

Hi,

Decided I've spent enough time babbling on list about esoteric problems and
weird stuff when I ought be getting useful projects written and released.

I've banged up some files at: http://www.barple.connectfree.co.uk/ along
with some [very] cursory notes. If any brave souls would like to do us a
favour and test some of this stuff for me, I'd appreciate it.

At the moment, there's AWPS, the not-quite-vapourware, template-based
webpage renderer that's a barrel of joy if/when it works (which it *always*
does for me), and a pain in the... ahh, posterior the rest of the time
(which it pretty much is for everyone else:p). It's a cool project, but I
don't have access to other machines to test it myself on so I'm throwing
myself at the mercy of others and begging help, tolerance, patience, and as
much useful feedback as I can get.

There's also my htmlConverterBuilder mod, which lets you custom-build your
own string-to-html encoder libraries. The docs are pretty shocking at the
moment, but I'll rewrite them before release; there is a test script
included though which should give the general idea. General/specific
comments welcome (i.e. I think it's bug free, but what about that
interface, the presets? Does the mod-that-builds-mods approach make sense?
Anyone interested in regionalised/unicode versions?).

I'll also put up dateLib soon as I've had a chance to re-edit its manual
(the mod itself's just had rewrite #3, so the manual's out-of-synch now).
It allows "dd/mm/yy"-style date & time formatting, supports weekdays and
months in a dozen or so [European] languages, and can convert date objects
to formatted strings *and* vice-versa. I think this could be a pretty
popular one so I'd really like to get it released asap [and before I
rewrite it again:p]...

There's a couple other sizeable libraries I ought to finish and post too,
but I think this lot'll be enough for the moment.

Any help and feedback gratefully received, and due credit will be given.
(And then perhaps I'll get some stuff released for a change, instead of
just talking about it....;)

Cheers,

has
