I am using the much-maligned 1.7 with 9.2.2. Perhaps this bug is fixed in
1.8. When there is a 1.8.xfc, I will find out if the fix 'stuck".

It would be nice (and I know I join a throng in opining this) to have a
genuine buglist available, and its companion "bugs we think we fixed" list.
