Use an app by path

  • Subject: Use an app by path

Hi all,

This sounds really simple but for now I can't seem to remember how to write this pseudo-code:

tell application "path of app as string"
do thing
end

This is for a generic applet, so don't tell me about the trick with creator code since it won't work.
So, is it possible to tell an app by path w/o having the stupid 'where is app?' dialog?

Thanks,

Serge
