Greetings,
Does anyone have a good technique for giving feedback to
a user that a time consuming operation is making progress?
I have quite recently installed the Developer Tools which
contain AppleScript Studio. I have printed the AppleScript
Studio manual, it looks like it might be a fairly steep
learning curve ;(
I was thinking about building a stand alone scriptable
"Progress Bar" application much like the old pre MacOS x
application of the same name...
In my initial pass through the AppleScript Studio manual, it
was not clear to me where to find the messages or the syntax
of how to talk to the user interface objects. I am a little
uncomfortable with the idea of having to disect the examples
in order to guess the methods that are available...
I guess you can tell I have abandoned MacOS 9 :)
