The Windows version of Outlook Express is a completely different product
that just has the same name. There is no resemblance between that and the
Mac version except some superficial UI appearances of windows and folders -
it has a completely different code and file structure. The two don't relate
to each other at all. The viruses spread on Windows computers are effected
by self-executing .exe files, which do not and cannot exist on the Mac -
there are no self-executing files on the Mac. There are Mac viruses which
can be sent to any mac email program, but will only start if you
double-click an attachment. There was one such sent out about 18 months ago
which could affect people with OE Mac if they double-clicked an unknown
attachment.
