As I recall, it was in one of the first upgrades to AppleScript (i.e. 1.1) so it probably didn't make it into the ASLG but appears in some long forgotten release notes.

Any packrats have the 1.1 release notes around? I have 1.3.4 release notes but they only go back to the 1.1.2 release.
