Possible to create alias of Internet Connect?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible in Mac OS 10.1 to create an applescript that makes an alias of the "Internet Connect" application and puts it on the desktop?

I'm having a lot of problems with getting my path-names straight in OS X and Applescript. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
