Simple Text Editor Scripting in OS X

  • Subject: Simple Text Editor Scripting in OS X

Hi there. Me again.

Sooooo close to getting this done...but OS X behaves differently than in OS
9. If I have a text editor, if I have the following text:
tell application "BBEdit 6.5"
set myString to "one two three four" as text
set contents of selection of window 1 to myString & return
set insertion point at last paragraph
activate
end tell

OS X remains, as selected the text I just entered. OS 9 puts the insertion
point at the end of this text, and allows me to build. So, OS X makes me
overwrite the text. What I need is a line to say 'go to the end of the
text', but I can't find such syntax. Baffles me.

Any ideas, folks?

Cheers.
