Localized AppleScript 1.8.3

I'd like to install AppleScript 1.8.3 on a machine running 9.2.2. But the installer won't install it, because I've got a german system running. It says I should do a clean install with an english system beforehand. Not an option.

Do I actually NEED a localized version? Or can I just extract the files from the installer tome and put the extensions into the system folder myself?

If I need a localized version: are there any planned? And if, when will they likely be released?
