OS 9.2.2 with AS 1.8.3 question

I remember noting on this board when 9.2.2 came out that many scripts
were broken that worked fine in 9.2.1. Does AS 1.8.3 negate the problems
of that upgrade and make scripts work as before? In other words, is it
safe (script-wise) to install 9.2.2 now as long as the AS version is
at 1.8.3?
