No, the UI has changed. It's not abandoned. I'd rather run X on my work
machine than 9.

Hey, nostalgia for 1995 is scheduled right after the 70s, which we're at
now. Groovy, baby!
Of course your S8 scripts do the same stuff. But they won't tell you the
network ID of the wireless network you're on in sub-seconds by doing "do
shell script "/usr/sbin/applesystemprofiler | grep en1"" either. As "bugs"
go, 'do shell script' is the smartest I ever saw.

Come se hable "read the iTools contract saying Apple can withdraw or charge
at any time". (Not necessarily compatible with common sense, but hey..)

Yes - the dock icon. No need to sue - already there.

Will command-N ever make a folder again??????
Maybe in a shareware like Snard (I dunno). It's useful to have Cmd-N open a
new Finder window, I realise; I've had to resort to aliases in menus to get
views I want to open in OS9.

Depends on which people, doesn't it?

I can do a lot more with X than I ever could with 9. Including writing a
native application (iTunes Watcher, free, only slightly buggy, get it on
VTracker) that a fair number of people have found useful. Smells like
progress to me.
