Naming Files with Jaws PDF Creator

  • Subject: Naming Files with Jaws PDF Creator

I was wondering if anyone knows Jaws PDF Creator particularly well. What I want to do is print to a
folder, then name the output files to match the page number that they're meant to be. If all works
well, this is not a problem. Jaws PDF creator has an option to open the file in an application
after the print is done, and I could keep a list of which page number I'm on, and name the file
accordingly. Unfortunately, since I'm working with Postscript files and fonts and such, the chances
are that I will have 3 pages in any given publication fail on the print. In that case, I'm sure
there would be synchronization problems, and I don't think Jaws has a particularly robust error
handling routing in that case.

I'm not quite sure where to start in order to solve the problem. Does anyone have any ideas, or
know a sure way of doing this?

Thank you,

Brian J. Geiger
