I have a little scripts that I use to grab email and hard
wrap it down to 59 characters and add the internet quoting
">" in front of each line. It works well for such things as
this list email, insuring that by wrapping it down so small,
multiple requotes will still wrap in everyone's email
readers by default.
The problem (or more over, hassle) has been to segment out
pre-existing quoted text from an email (i.e. - from a
string or list of char), remove the > symbol, rewrap it
downwards, add > and reinsert it into the string (list)
easily. Before I try reinventing the wheel, I figure I'll
simply ask if someone else has something that does it... or
failing that, a simple way to insert additional items into
the center of a list, bumping the rest down...
Example:
=====
Some text from whomever
