Changing desktop picture in Mac OS X?

  • Subject: Changing desktop picture in Mac OS X?

I've seen it asked before and haven't seen any replies. Is there any way to use AppleScript in Mac OS X to change the desktop picture.

I tried to see if System Preferences, or the Desktop PrefPane is scriptable and they isn't.

I am aware of some sample ObjC code that will do it, and it does it by sending an AppleEvent, but I am having a hard time understanding it (I don't know ObjC).

Can anyone figure out how to do this with AppleScript?
