perhaps AppleScript CGIs do not work under Mac OS X in general?

True. They only work under OS X Server. You can use an app called "ACGI dispatcher" though to make them work under the standard OS X.

Best,

Paul

Thank you very much for the information, I downloaded the program, installed it and everything just works fine. Nevertheless I do not understand why the ACGI Enabler.app is included in Mac OS X Server, but not in Mac OS X. I think of that as a downgrade as it was possible with Mac OS 9.

Kind regards,

Martin
