How To Convert Classic Applets to OS X Applet?

Hi,

I'm starting to use OS X. Of course, all my scripts are compiled as Classic
Applets. I have many which script Carbon applications and should, I
believe, be useable in OS X.

However, it seems I need to open each one in the Script Editor and re-save
as an OS X Applet. Is there a more convenient way? Ironically, the Script
Editor does not seem to be recordable (at least in OS 9). Is it scriptable?
Has anyone seen a script for doing this conversion?
