I'm waiting for a fix as well. Loss of 'file' has broken MultiMail Pro's Palm
conduit for Microsoft Entourage. (I can't read my e-mail during boring
meetings, so I have to play Tetris instead.)
I've been thinking I'd rewrite the interface AppleScripts, but it would be hit
or miss to try fixing a script that is part of a larger system. Worse, only one
of the scripts is editable; the rest are saved Run Only. (They must have let
this one sneak through in readable form by mistake.)
So, knowing that 'file' is coming back would help me confidently ignore the
problem. And knowing when would make me feel even better, but I understand how
it is with software releases.
