The Danny Goodman book, 2nd edition (that ToExcel reprint is that) is still
probably the best introduction to AppleScript. Stop when you get to the end
of Part II - the AppleScript language. What follows (applications) is way
too out of date to be useful. Parts I and II are excellent. I don't know the
other books.
