The Release Notes and Manual Update are now posted; thanks for your

The downloads can be found at

Mac OS 9;

Depending on your geographic location, it may take some hours before
these links are active; in addition, they may not yet be linked from
the top levels of their respective areas.
Since posting these upgrades yesterday, we've been made aware of
several things customers have discovered:
- Occasional crashes when installing on Mac OS X: We've seen a
half-dozen or so reports of this; they may be more related to the
Installer itself than to AppleScript 1.8.3. If you experience a crash
in the Installer while installing AppleScript 1.8.3 on Mac OS X, please
mail email@hidden the contents of the Console's Installer Crash
Dump and a recent Apple System Profiler report for your system.
- Applets don't work on Mac OS 9 if their name ends in ".app":
Confirmed.
- Problems recording MailSmith: Unconfirmed (one report).
- Must restart in order to use 'activate' command: Confirmed
(logout/login is all that's necessary; the installation recommends a
restart for just this reason)
Please continue to report any problems to this list; we monitor it
continually.
