Unfortunately that is where my thoughts had been leading too. In which
case I might be able to minimise the effect by changing where the
most-nested compiled script is loaded.

I'm on a very limited income. Moving to X is too expensive for me at the
moment. [It's near the top of the list of things to do, right after more
memory and disk...]

Never played with python, was going to when I had LinuxPPC installed
(but that was on a 7500 with the bodgy open firmware :-) then I added a
G3 card and couldn't be fussed with Linux at that point. FORTH <blech>)

[wonder if the ancient version of frontier I have here, somewhere, would
still run...(I don't fancy my chances)]
