"play sound"

Hi. I am relatively new to Applescript. I am using OS X
and have picked up useful bits and pieces of Applescript
syntax -- enough to be dangerous. ;-)

What I would like to do (for one thing) in a script
is to call a specific sound file (an aiff in
~/Library/Sounds).

I read this morning about Jon's Commands -- that you can do
this with this osax. Is there a way to do this on OS X? Or
do we have to hope for a new osax to enable this in X? Or
maybe even Jon's Commands work in OS X?

Thanks.
