Quicktime Movies

I am looking for a way to use Applescript to extract thumbnail previews from Quicktime movies. Does anyone have any experience with this. I've looked at OSAXen such as Akua and GTQ, but they don't do it for me. One of the problems appears to be that these OSAXen manipulate a file's PICT resource, but a QT movie doesn't have one of those...

Please help!

Pier.
