I didn't realize that would even coerce, but it does. Thank you, Chris. I
guess that will do for most circumstances - I'll try it out soon with a
Japanese or Russian file name. Just the fact that it exists means, I hope,
that one day the internal paths will get straightened out? If it ever really
matters, I can always use that Finder handler I sent in, which gets every
step of the path in Unicode. I imagine that the idea is get everything
consistent at some point?
