Hello all,
Apologies for just diving in with a request for help, but i'm finding the
learning curve a little steep here and hoped an applescript guru out there
might be able to give me some pointers...
I'm trying to automate some stuff with Cumulus 5.5
Here's what i'm trying to achieve when my script runs:
A dialog appears, into which i enter a list of record names separated by
commas (this could equally be a list of asset identifiers or whatever if thats
easier...)
Upon hitting ok, the script should go off to the Cumulus Client, hunt out the
individual records input in the dialog and then copy them to a folder.
The reason? :
I have a web publisher system which hands off to me a list of assets that the
user has selected as a text string, i want to automate the process of
gathering together the original assets for burning onto a cd. I've been
tinkering but I can't get the 'copy the asset of' command from the cumulus
dictionary to work at all...
Ultimately I then want to expand this so that I can define which catalogue to
search, and which folder the files should end up in, but for now just getting
the basic functionality working would do nicely...
I've spent most of the day fiddling about with string manipulation and all
sorts and all i've managed so far is a script that can retrieve one record
into a collection...ugh...
Help! Please! ;-)
All ideas gratefully recieved on list or to email@hidden
Jon
PS. Also if anyone knows of any good cumulus scripting resources..i'd love to
hear about them!
