I volunteer in a Macintosh Graphics/Language lab at Westmont College in
Santa Barbara.
The 17 G4's have two partitioned disks - one running OS 9.2.2 (containing
all the language programs) and the other running OS 10.1.5 (containing all
the graphics programs.
The language programs make heavy use of Macromedia's Director, which is not
happy even under the Classic mode of 10.
At present, to prevent the students from accidentally getting into the X
partition, we are employing the multiple user function, which creates some
problems not germane to this discussion.
We would like to get rid of the multiple user function and I am looking for
a script that on startup of 9 would unmount the OS X partition. I have tried
telling the Finder to eject the disk, but that does not work.
Does anyone have any idea how to do this?
