The only way you can use a "universal" script is from the private script menu of a scriptable application. Neither the Script menu not Script Runner will send the event to (what you think is) the current application. AppleScript can only communicate with applications using Apple Events, wheras QuickKeys, OneClick etc. use other means.

tell front window to set <<property pzum>> to not <<property pzum>>
