Script menu has eaten my script

I have a script in Script Menu that I use fairly often. Just now I tried to use it and nothing happened. I then tried again and got a dialog I would have expected from another script that I haven't used for weeks. On opening the script in Smile, I discovered that indeed it had been rewritten with the contents of the other script. If I try to open the script in Script Editor, it gives me "Could not open the file because of a program error".

This is really nasty behaviour. Has anyone else seen anything like it?

I'm not using Script Menu much now and will soon have transferred everything to the very nice Key Xing.
