Just put back AS 1.3.7. That's the version that came with OS 8.6. You might
be able to manage with AS 1.4.3 that came with OS 9.0.4 (I think) but I
don't think it adds much functionality. AS 1.5.5 that came with OS 9.1 had
problems. AS 1.6 that came with OS 9.2.1 must have various aspects that OS
8.6 doesn't understand.

Or here's another idea - Why doesn't the user upgrade to OS 9, then to
update to 9.2.1?
