Hi there!
I recently sent someone a script which they're trying to run on a PowerMac
9600 under Mac OS 8.6. They have AS 1.6 installed.
Does anyone know what is the latest version of AS that will run under 8.6?
Unfortunately I don't have a pre-OS 9 system to test on and couldn't find
anything on Apple's website.
With AS 1.6 and Standard Additions 1.6 installed, the user is reporting the
following errors, if it helps -
Could not complete the "About Applescript..." command because I can't
connect to AppleScript. Make sure AppleScript was installed correctly.
and...
This script can not be run at this time as the scripting system that created
it is not available. (-1762)
I can't find the -1762 error code documented anywhere!?
Any ideas what these errors mean and what needs to be done to sort them out?
Many thanks,
Juerg
