This from Chuck on the OSX Server list which presumably affects the AS list
also (hope he doesn't mind me re-posting this)
======================
For lack of a better way of putting it, I gave the server a hairball,
and it's taken a bit to get things back to normal.
My apologies for the hassles and delays. I'm working to bring more
capacity online, but until the Xserves are fully into production, we
may see some temporary delays for a bit. I ran into a situation where I
simply needed more capacity than I had on another server, and I had to
borrow some capacity from the list server to make things work. that
caused the delays.
I've done some work on lists so if we hit this situation again (which
might be possible over the next ten days or so) it might slow down, but
it shouldn't shut down cold.
